Text Box: As summers go, this was another fast one.   It seemed like I was barely getting home when it was time to pack for the fall semester in Korea once again.   The true joys of this past summer came in being able to see many of you.   Besides the visits to beloved relatives, Vicki and I were able to be with many of you, our friends, in person also.   We especially want to thank the Ventura Church of Christ in California, the Eastside Church of Christ in Baltimore, Maryland and our home Church of Christ at White Station in Memphis, for their continued thoughtfulness, love and prayers in our behalf.  It was great to see you and remind you again of the good things the Lord is doing in Korea.
One extra highlight of the summer was spending time with 11 others from Memphis and Lubbock in a nine-day backpacking trip to Colorado.  This was my third time for such a trip, and each occasion brings us closer to the glorious Lord of nature and into closer relations with those who love Him.  And the good news for Vicki this year was that I came back uninjured (not even sunburned legs – there’s a story behind that we will tell you sometime).
I arrived back in Seoul on August 20 to enter another busy semester.  The HanMee Church of Christ, which I helped to start back in 2005, continues to bless lives.  The week before I returned, there were four souls baptized into Christ.   Then on my first Sunday back, two more souls committed themselves to Jesus in baptism.   The Lord continues to do His work on hearts.
More news to come soon in my first fall report.
God bless each of you.
